Rose GOld FAIRY-TALE Ballgown

This ballgown was inspired by classic fairy-tales and romantic stories. I used a rose gold woven taffeta that has a beautiful shimmer to it. Dress silhouette was styled after 18th century styles, but with a modern fit. Sleeves are accented rose lace and the bodice is a layered effect of gold trims.

My lovely customer was so kind in sending me some photos. Her photographer really captured how shimmery this fabric looks in real life.

The following costume was one I created inspired by Steampunk Fashions and Styles. The costume is a windup fairy inspired Steampunk look. Costume includes skirt, corset and metal wings. Wings are hand painted and detailed. This costume was worn to a fairy festival.

Green Rider Costume

For this costume the customer and I worked with some ideas based upon the Green Rider Book Series by Kristen Britain. The coat is a beautiful deep green wool that I fully lined with golden silk. Detailed gold metal buttons close the coat for a fitted look. The layered collar adds interests and a whimsical style. Tunic is a lovely soft linen fabric trimmed with medieval style silk ribbon.

Red Riding Hood Costume

Special Collaboration with Emory R. Frie's "Realm Series" Books

This costume was something I created in collaboration with the Emory Frie and her book "Enchanted Forest". After reading her Realm series I knew that the character Red was a perfect inspiration for this style of costume. You can find Emory's books by visiting her website here

The costume includes a red cape, skirt, blouse and corset. I used a selection of fabrics and textiles.

Snow white and the Huntsman costume

This costume was something I created before the movie was in theaters. Everything was based off the image from the movie trailer. The costume I made here is constructed out of organic linens and silk. The under dress is almost an ice blue color with 100% silk lacing up the sleeves and hand made trim.

The neckline of the under dress bodice is accented with hand made lace in a light blue. As with all my costumes everything is "inspired by the movie" I do not claim to have everything identical of the original. I just try to capture the "feel" of the movie costume.

Below is another version of the Snow White and the Huntsman costume I created for a customer who wanted something in a shorter length and a few additional details. The fabrics are still linen and silk blends.

For this costume the customer and I worked with some ideas she had for a Swan Princess dress and this is the result. We added touches of golden silks and real feathers. The gown is a lovely princess silhotte that is a flattering and beautiful style.

The following gown was a special commission based off of an image that the bride sent me. We worked together to finalized the design and this is the result. Layers of lace, chiffon and detail work were done to give the dress a true princess feel. Because it was being worn to a pirate wedding we also wanted to add touched of a pirate vibe. Thus the corset and neckline style.

susan farewell Dress Narnia inspired costume

The following costume was inspired by the one worn by Susan in the Narnia Prince Caspian movie. It is worn at the end of the movie when she has to leave Narnia forever. Gown includes a fully boned corset over dress and a silk blend under dress with fantasty style sleeves.

Russian Ballgown

This ballgown is made from 100% real silk fabric and accented with a vintage metal belt. Gown was based off of an image that a customer sent me to use for inspiration. Gown also features a full silk underskirt to give it a nice full silhouette.

princess nuala inspired costume

This costume was inspired by Princess Nuala from the Hellboy Movie: "The Golden Army". You can see the inspiration for the costume in the images above. My customer was using her own belt decoration, so I simply made the beaded corset and rest of the costume for her. The costume consists of 2 wrap around dresses, corset and collar piece. Corset is fully boned, lined and accented with rows of stunning bronze glass beads. For the fabrics I found some beautiful satin and sheer chiffon blends. The ombre fabrics are much more vibrant in real life. Dark blue color starts at the hem and works up the dress into it turns into a very pale blue.
